How Video Watermark Remover handles local video processing, account, payment, and analytics data

2026/08/15

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Video Watermark Remover handles information when you visit videowatermarkremover.pro, use the local video tool, create an account, make a purchase, or contact us.

The core video tool runs in your browser. Videos selected in the tool and processed WebM results are not uploaded to, processed by, or stored on our servers. They remain in the current browser tab unless you download them.

Information We Handle

We may handle the following limited categories:

  • Account data: your name, email address, account identifier, and basic profile information received from a sign-in provider.
  • Payment and entitlement data: provider customer and transaction identifiers, product, amount, currency, subscription status, refund or dispute status, credit balance, and entitlement records. Stripe or PayPal processes payment credentials; we do not store full card or bank details.
  • Privacy-safe product analytics: page path, referrer, device and browser category, country derived from network information, broad file-size bucket, tool action, result state, and timestamp. Product analytics do not include video contents, file names, email addresses, or payment credentials.
  • Technical and security data: IP address, request logs, browser information, authentication events, fraud signals, and error records needed to secure and operate the service.
  • Support data: the information you choose to include in an email to us. Please do not send payment credentials or sensitive video files.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate and secure the website, authenticate accounts, complete purchases, maintain credits and entitlements, prevent fraud and duplicate billing, troubleshoot failures, answer support requests, measure privacy-safe product usage, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our Terms of Service.

Analytics and Session Replay

We use self-hosted Umami for cookie-free aggregate analytics. We may also use Microsoft Clarity for interaction analytics only after you accept optional analytics. File inputs, local video previews, processing canvases, and processed results are marked for masking or exclusion. We do not copy raw Clarity replay contents into BPS Console or Lark alerts.

You can accept or decline optional analytics in the consent notice. Your choice is saved in local storage and can be changed by clearing that site preference. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Service Providers and Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We disclose only what is reasonably needed to providers that support the service, including:

  • Cloudflare and our hosting infrastructure for delivery, security, and request handling;
  • Google or GitHub when you choose those sign-in methods;
  • Stripe and PayPal for checkout, billing, refunds, and dispute handling;
  • self-hosted Umami and, with consent, Microsoft Clarity for analytics;
  • our email provider for account and support messages; and
  • BPS Console and Lark for sanitized operational monitoring and incident alerts.

We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention

  • Local video inputs and results are held by your browser only for the current tab or object URL lifetime.
  • Account records are kept while your account is active and for a limited period after deletion where needed for recovery, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
  • Payment, tax, refund, and dispute records may be kept for up to seven years where required by law or accounting obligations.
  • Security logs and support correspondence are kept only as long as reasonably needed for security, support, dispute resolution, and compliance.
  • Umami and Microsoft Clarity data follow their configured or provider retention schedules. Microsoft publishes its current Clarity retention details in its documentation.

We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to backup cycles and legal holds.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information. You may also decline optional analytics and unsubscribe from non-essential email.

Send privacy requests to [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information that must be kept for fraud prevention, transactions, disputes, or law.

Security and International Processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in countries where our providers operate, with safeguards appropriate to the service and applicable law.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to the service.

Changes and Contact

We may update this policy and will post the new effective date here. For privacy questions, email [email protected]. For service help, email [email protected].
